Host of fishing radio talk show Let's Talk Hookup

I am certainly one of the fortunate few that their passion and their work are one in the same. For the past 30 years I have hosted and managed the largest fishing radio talk show in the west, Let’s Talk Hookup. We talk about fishing, and the majority of the customers that support our efforts and that I get to work with are also passionate about fishing. Lucky me- work my passion and get to work with people that share that passion. My aloha!
I travel to many exotic fishing destinations, and everywhere I go, so do my Maui Jim Sunglasses. Even in my own back yard of San Diego, I live aloha and my Maui Jim Sunglasses are always there. When I am on the ocean in the tropics, I wear the Surfrider with the neutral grey lens for ultimate protection. I recently have been wearing the new Hawaii Lava lens in the Kanaio Coast frame…love that new lens. My every day lens is the HT in the Kanaio Coast frame, perfect for driving and also those overcast days on the water.
I volunteer on the board of directors for two great organizations. Captain Rollo’s Kids at Sea raises money to take kids fishing. Of the 120,000 kids we have taken fishing, many have never experienced the ocean. My goal for the time I spend helping raise money is to touch as many kids and turn them on to the wonders of the ocean.
I am also on the board for Coastal Conservation Association of California. This organization works toward preserving our valuable ocean recourses and protecting our access to fish local waters. There are many that do not understand the ocean and its delicate resources, and my goal is to help these people better understand this precious gift and why it is up to us that enjoy it to take care of it and assure a future of fishing in a healthy ocean. This to me is what aloha is all about!
