Take on the Summer Two Steps at a Time

On the western side of the Big Island, you will find large, flat lava rock formations that have become known simply as “two steps,” which lead into the water at the Pu’uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park. Our version of “Two Steps” mimics the rectangular shape of these lava formations while also offering comfort and ample protection from long days in the sun.

The Clarity You Want at a Fraction of the Weight

Part of what makes a great sunglass is the lens. Two Steps is made from SuperThin Glass—a material that is 32% thinner and lighter than standard glass. This material also offers the crispest optics and the highest possible scratch resistance.

A Color for Every Condition

Two Steps currently comes in three fantastic colorways: Tortoise, Black Gloss, and Transparent Pink. The Tortoise frame features our HCL® Bronze lens, a color which exudes a beautiful warm tint, excellent for varied everyday occasions. In our Black Gloss frame, a Neutral Grey lens offers the highest available light reduction for the richest colors and sharpest contrast. Last but not least is our Transparent Pink frame. This sunglass has been fitted with our Maui Rose® lens for a subtle pink tint that’s perfect for fast-moving sports.

Mix & Match with MyMaui

Though Two Steps currently only comes in the lens options mentioned above, you can swap them out for any one you would like through our MyMaui Customization service. This includes our PolarizedPlus2® fashion mirrors also known as our Blue Hawaii, MAUI Sunrise, and HAWAII LAVA™.

The first of this collection, our Blue Hawaii Mirror, was developed as a fashionable option for our top-selling styles. It is suitable for both men and women, and the Neutral Grey lens, which serves as its base, works as an effective UV filter for the eyes and surrounding skin.

Like our Blue Hawaii lens, our MAUI Sunrise mirror offers the same color, clarity, and detail but in a playful pink. As the name implies, this chic mirror is inspired by Maui’s magical sunrises, and it is created by applying a pink mirror layer to our Maui Rose® lens.

If you like warm tones, but want something a little more bold, consider our HAWAII LAVA™ lens. This fully-applied red mirror is placed onto our popular HCL® Bronze lens for a multidimensional look that plays homage to Hawaiian volcanoes.
